Presentation Description

Common sense isn’t always common practice. With great intentions, we build complex programs that we believe drive deeper knowledge and behavioral change, but sometimes big efforts lead to small results. For this session, join Joel Lamoreaux from Deluxe Corporation to learn about their effort to move away from complexity, back to toward a simplified, action-learning based program they’ve called, Learning Circles. This approach brings busy managers together in peer groups, where they meet regularly to translate a single concept into action and hold themselves accountable to facilitate, apply, reflect, and learn. Deluxe believes this is a repeatable process that you can take back to your work environment and implement to enable front-line leaders to learn using a format that increases buy-in, participation and ultimately learning and development. The presentation includes an overview of the science behind why learning circles work, some thoughts around program launch and management, and several lessons learned regarding going management. As an attendee, you’ll get access not only to an easily transferable process,  but several templates that will save you time should you choose to implement.
