About the Speakers:

Ruth Marquez

Ruth Marquez, Career Trainer at Mi Casa Resource Center, has provided training expertise and formal instruction across industries, sectors and organizational levels. An instructional designer, facilitator, speaker, instructor, tutor and writer, Ruth loves collaborating with subject matter experts and coaching trainers and students as well. Ruth has worked in specialization areas and also shares her broad generalist knowledge through writing.
Margie Mauldin

Margie M. Mauldin, MBA, Master Trainer, president and owner of Executive Forum, is an energetic and creative leader. Galvanizing talented employees and business partners, she has created a firm that makes a difference in the lives of leaders in the Denver business community, delivering training to over 2,000 people each year. Margie is passionate about providing high leverage learning opportunities for leaders. Patti Shank, PhD., CPT
Patti Shank, PhD., CPT, is the president of Learning Peaks LLC, an internationally recognized performance and instructional design consulting firm. She is the co-author of Making Sense of Online Learning, editor of The Online Learning Idea Book, Volume 1, co-editor of The E-Learning Handbook, and co-author of Essential Articulate Studio '09.

She is a designer, analyst, author and facilitator who writes about evidence-based workplace learning. She coaches trainers, instructional designers, instructors and experts to build valuable instruction. Her new books include Write and Organize for Deeper Learning and Practice and Feedback for Deeper Learning. 

Her work includes analyzing learning environments and what is needed to make them work well (too much of what is done is ineffective or nonsense), researching, analyzing, and writing about what evidence says offers the best outcomes. She works with clients with hard training and performance problems and helps L&D practitioners grow their skills via workshops and mentoring.

Dani Watkins

Dani Watkins brings a professional and purposeful approach to building successful training for adult learners, whether in the classroom or online. She is the principal of Zenith Performance Solutions, and recently awarded the 2014 Bronze Brandon Hall Group Excellence Award for Best Custom Content.


Dani has designed and delivered instructor-led, eLearning, vILT, blended, and 3D Immersive training courses and environments for business skill, proprietary, and technical content. With 19 years experience designing, developing, and delivering custom technical and business skill training programs, Dani has worked with a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, real estate/property management, health care, telecommunications, financial, government, oil and gas, software/technology, manufacturing, higher ed, and K-12.
