Best Practices Working With SMEs: A Panel Discussion

Subject Matter Experts are key to a great course. What are some best practices to ensure we're getting the expertise we need? Come to the panel discussion to learn more about project management strategies and other tips to help your course development run smoothly and create great content. Our panel consists of Katie Pagano Gerwitz, Julie Young, and Kerry Harbeck.

Speakers:

Julie Young

Julie has worked for global Fortune 100 organizations as a leader in Learning and Talent Management COE’s for over 30 years. In the last 5+ years, she has had her own consulting practice focusing on talent and leadership development for organizations of all sizes. She is skilled in designing and delivering both in person and virtual leadership development programs that have an impact on the company's strategy. She has coached leaders to be more effective, develop their teams, and influence cross functionally. Prior to running her own business, she was Senior Director, Talent Management at Takeda/ Millennium Pharmaceuticals and a Director, Learning and Org. Dev. at Gillette/Procter & Gamble working globally to develop and implement global leadership and functional capability building and to identify and develop high potentials. She works best with companies going through significant growth or transformation who have a culture with a bias for action.

Kerry Harbeck

Kerry is an innovative leader, instructional designer, and training professional who has worked in diverse areas such as end user adoption of new IT and business processes, military training, and health and wellness education. Kerry has an innate talent in building strong relationships across the business spectrum, this unique ability has proven on numerous occasions to exceed clients’ expectations while successfully meeting project's goal. 

Katie Pagano Gerwitz

Katie  joined the World Trade Center Denver team as the Instructional Designer in October 2018 after spending 10 years in secondary education. She graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Education and obtained her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Orleans. In her role at the WTC Denver, she manages weekly international trade trainings with subject matter experts and creates online training content in addition to managing core functions of the office providing support to the executive team. Katie was a member of ATD New Orleans before moving to Denver and knew that joining the ATD Rocky Mountain chapter was a great way to learn from others in the field. She is thrilled to be a part of the board to create beneficial learning opportunities in the talent community.

Please park in the Daniels Fund parking lot at First and Madison. Pull up to the gate and it will automatically open. Parking information


Refreshments:

Sight snacks and beverages will be provided. 

Refund Policy: Refunds will be issued up to 10 days before an event, meeting, or webinar. We are unable to issue refunds later than that date. Refunds will not be issued when an all-inclusive member cannot attend an event. For more information regarding the refund policy, contact info@atdrmc.org.
