Speaker: Douglas Hamp

Douglas Hamp is an international speaker, leadership trainer, and bestselling author who helps leaders stay calm, think clearly, and perform under pressure.

With a PhD in Linguistics and Theological Studies, a black belt in Krav Maga, and over two decades of leadership experience, Doug brings a unique blend of research, real-world application, and practical training to every session. His work focuses on a critical leadership skill that is often overlooked: how to respond effectively in high-pressure moments instead of reacting.

Through his signature framework, J.O.Y. (Just Relax, Offer Kindness, Yield to Connection), Doug equips leaders with simple, repeatable tools to regulate their response, communicate more effectively, and build trust, even in challenging situations.

Doug is the author of multiple books, including Finding Joy in Every Punch, and has worked with leaders across corporate, government, nonprofit, and educational environments. Known for his engaging style and highly interactive sessions, he ensures participants walk away not just inspired, but equipped with skills they can use immediately.

Based in Colorado, Doug enjoys skiing, martial arts training, and helping leaders grow stronger through the very pressure they face every day.
